5) Do you have beginner Zumba classes?
- Zumba classes are meant to be for all fitness levels and dance levels. Choreography is simple so that everyone can have a good time even if you think you have 2 left feet :-). Moves and intensity can be modified and you can take it at your own level. All of our instructors are very good about showing level 1 steps and progressing to more advance steps after most have mastered level 1 steps, but it is perfectly acceptable to stay at level 1, if you want. *Strong Nation is a high intensity interval class (HIIT) and is therefore a much higher intensity than regular Zumba classes. Still, modifications can be made in a Strong class to decrease intensity or increase intensity, if desired.
6) Do you sell gift cards and how do I buy them?
- Gift cards can be purchased using this link. They are are delivered to the recipient via email and you can buy them for any denomination and for any occasion. This is the easiest way to buy a class for someone.
7) Can I give one of my class credits to a friend or spouse?
- Its best to purchase a gift card for them (see #6), but I can link accounts together and allow you to share 10 class passes with another person. Just be aware that once I link an account to yours, that person will have access to all of your classes at anytime. For this reason, I don't like to link accounts of friends (only spouses). Unlimited passes, autopay contracts and ZCREW membership cannot be shared. Please contact Sabrina by phone (505) 207-4953 to make those arrangements. This can't be done by the customer online, you must call. All people need their own profile and need to sign the liability form to take classes.
8) Can I bring my kid to class?
- While we currently do not offer any exercise classes for kids, we recognize that sometimes you have no option but to bring your kid with you to class and on those rare occasions, it is fine to do so. We do not offer any type of child care and the parent must be completely responsible for the child at all times. Children must have something quiet to do (read a book, watch a movie or play video games with headphones) where they can sit and not be disruptive to the other participants in class. Children may not run around the studio during the class. Special events and Masterclasses generally have a much greater attendance and therefore do not have room for any spectators or children. If you need to bring a child to a special event, please contact the studio and arrangements can be made on a case by case basis. *Disclaimer, we do not sensor our movements or our music. While most of the music is in another language (generally Spanish), at times the lyrics can be a little "spicy", thus please be aware of that.
9) Can my kid take the class with me?
- We generally do not recommend children younger than 5 to participate as they have a much shorter attention span. If you feel your child would be able to participate in class and you are willing to take responsibility for them, then they can participate. All participants must sign a liability waiver, thus the parent or guardian must sign a liability waiver for each participant under the age of 18. Cost is the same for children as it would be for for any participant even if they ultimately decide not to participate in the entire class. Please also refer to disclaimer in FAQ #8.
10) Do I need to bring anything special to class?
- A sweat towel and water bottle are preferable for any exercise class. For Zumba Toning, you can bring your own weights (3lbs or less) but we also have some toning sticks available at the studio that you can borrow for class. For Strong, you will want to bring a yoga mat as we do floor exercises, but we also have some yoga mats at the studio that you can borrow.
11) Do you have water for sale at the studio?
- A bottle of water can be purchased at the studio for $1 (cash only). We have cold water and water at room temp. Please ask us if you would like a cold bottle of water.

12) Where do I park?
- Do NOT park at Comfort Dental (they will tow you). Parking is free on the street in front of the building on Lomas or on the side of the building on Jefferson. Parking also available in the lot behind the studio in front of the storage units. Please be considerate of our neighbors I9 Sports who park their trailers in the lot and often need to get in and out of the lot with those trailers. Please do not block the entrance/exit to the gated parking lot with the rear of your vehicle.
13) Do I have to sign up for class in advance or do you require a membership to participate?
- Yes, all classes require pre-registration on MindBody. Virtual classes require this in order to get the ZOOM link emailed to you. In-studio classes require pre-registration because we require all to sign our liability form prior to class. Everyone will need a profile before being allowed to take class, you MUST pre-register online thru MindBody even if you plan to pay for your class in studio when you arrive.
- ZCREW membership (6 month autopay, unlimited month $65 per month) allows you to come to all the classes you want during the month, as well as get a discount on special events as well as a discount on ZCREW gear. Its cheaper than our single unlimited month option and auto-renews if you do not cancel after 6 months. Cancellation of the autopay should be communicated to Sabrina at least 30 days before the end of the contract. Early termination fees may apply for breaking contract sooner than the 6 month period.
14) Do you have any special deals for new students?
- New students can claim an exclusive $15 discount on their 1st punch card or unlimited month purchase by entering in their phone number and signing up for texts from us on our HOME PAGE. Contact the studio for details.
15) Can I pay by credit card?
- Yes, credit cards are accepted in the studio or you can purchase classes online using your credit card.
16) Do you have a frequent customer or loyalty program?
- Yes! Participants can get points for showing up to class and referring their friends to us or sharing on social media! Once you get enough points for a specific reward, they can be redeemed for FREE stuff and discounts at the studio including a FREE ticket to a Masterclass! We just need your phone number to get you started!
17) How do you let people know about changes in the schedule?
- We ask that you give us an email address or phone number or both so that we can send you our monthly newsletter as well as text messages with information regarding special events, special deals and last minute changes in the schedule. Check out our monthly newsletter BELOW!
18) How do I check how many classes I have left on my punch card?
- All class credits and passes are posted to your account on MindBody and can be checked using on the MindBody platform. Download the app or login (BELOW) with the email we have on file for you.
19) Do I have to download the MindBody or Fitgrid apps?
- No, all class purchases, sign ups and cancellations can be handled on our website. Our promo codes must be redeemed on our website and will not work on the MindBody App. Thus, it is not necessary to download the app to sign up for classes. You can use it if you want, but it is not required. Our website works best for sign ups and class purchases!
20) How do you refer a friend?
- You can refer a friend using this link
- Your friend must click on the link, claim AND REDEEM the $15 off purchasing a 10 class pass or unlimited month in order for you to receive your $10 credit for the referral.

22) How do I redeem loyalty points?
- You must be signed up to receive texts in order to get notifications about loyalty points
- Points accumulate and the system automatically sends you a text when you have enough points to redeem for a certain item/discount/or class
- When you get the text that you have enough points, click on the link to redeem
- All goods (water, sweat towel) need to be redeemed in the studio
- Free classes and free masterclass tickets need to be redeemed at least 24 hours in advance. Your free class credit is entered by hand after Sabrina gets notification of the redemption. Please allow 24 hours for credits to be entered.

23) How come discount/promo codes don't work on the MindBody App?
- MindBody is a global platform used by many fitness studios, gyms, spas, hair salons and others. The chances of our promo code being the same as another location is certainly possible especially if you do something like "blackfridaydeal". Each location could have several deals associated with their business. Rather than run the risk of having to deal with my "blackfridaydeal" being 50% off and someone else's "blackfridaydeal" giving only 15% off, MindBody App does not allow any of the businesses to allow promo codes to be used on the app.

24) How come I can't purchase a single virtual class on the MindBody App?
- In June 2022, Apple and Google Play made a decision that would require businesses to pay a 30% fee for all in-app virtual purchases. At that time, it was decided by MindBody that all single in app virtual purchases would be blocked.
- Thus, you cannot purchase a single virtual class or masterclass on the MindBody App, but you can buy a 10 class pass or unlimited month class which includes access to virtual classes.

25) What is your cancellation policy?
- You must cancel your reservation for class within 1 hour of the class starting.
- If you fail to cancel in time, you will be charged FULL PRICE as a late cancel (AKA no show).
- If you have a legitimate excuse for missing (flat tire, car trouble/accident, family emergency etc), written communication describing your excuse should be sent to Sabrina directly within 48 hours of the missed class.
26) What is your refund policy?
- Refunds do not happen automatically and can't be processed by our instructors. It can only be processed by Sabrina.
- If a class is canceled by the studio or you cancel your reservation within 1 hour of class starting, the class credit will sit on your account for future use. Single class purchases expire 3 months from date of purchase.
- Refund requests will be handled on a case by case basis. All refund requests for unused classes or packages must be communicated directly to Sabrina in writing by email within 30 days of the single class or package purchase or within 1 week after the expiration date of the package, whichever applies.
- No refunds will be given for classes attended. No refunds are given for used ZCREW wear.
- Justification via email does not guarantee a refund. Requests for refund are determined at the owner's discretion and will follow what is believed to be the "right" course of action for a given circumstance.
